Franco's has recently added a few additional shoes to the sale. Most in common sizes, prices between $240-$295.

Having called, the Borgioli's are reported as being 'true to size', but they will send them to you and let you return them if the fit is incorrect.

I made them search for a 10D in this one... no dice.

A bunch of Martegani's up for sale in Amber, brown, burgundy and black.

This one is killing me... just ... need... more ... money....

Everything but the 3B is true to size from what I understand. 42 is a little roomier with the 72/75 being a bit narrow. I'm a 10D and everything I've purchased, regardless of last worked for me in 10D.

I would love to have the Borgioli Roma that you posted above - sadly the price is just too far out of my league. If only they were priced in the $2XX range like the others.

The same shoe in black is tempting as well but I still haven't worn the black wingtip Phineas Cole Grenson's that I picked up during the PS Chicago sale... Very strange behavior. I guess they're almost too pretty to wear as I've been content just staring at them.

So far I've talked myself out any of the Martegani's as well - they just don't have quite the same aura as the Borgioli's.

Think I'm going to have to pickup that Martegani Rustic Burgundy.

You SOB.

I just ordered the Borgioli. F*cking gorgeous. I didn't have the money for those in the budget but I'm going to have to make it work.

Thanks for the heads-up... first time one of these PSAs has worked out for me where they had it in my size and I got in fast enough. I am STOKED.

Awesome. I wish they had my size in those babies. Really nice in person, on par with the Bontoni's except much less expensive.

if Borgioli had decent (if any) marketing or US presence, these shoes would be considerably more expensive. I ordered the chiseled Roma in rustic calf earlier this week. Glad I beat this PSA.

I will expose my ignorance here:

What is a "Roma?" I assume it is a style of shoe, but which one?

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
