Starting to regret having got the SARB035 and am thinking I should have gone the SARB033. Thoughts guys?

New strap came in today from Jack Foster. Hadn't heard of him before, but I'm really liking this Horween Chromexcel in dark brown... Thick leather and quality coinstruction... gives that real vintage look to the Visodate and matches quite well with my 1000 Mile boots ;)

sorry for the crappy iPhone 4 pics!

I have both the white-faced Visodate (as seen above) as well as a new SARB033 (courtesy of Massdrop). I intend to use these as my "work" watches, one on a black strap, and the other on brown. For now, I moved the SARB onto the Tissot's brown deployant band and threw the Visodate on a black Hirsch croc strap (a Duke, I think). I'm not sure if I am crazy about the way that strap looks, so I was wondering if any of you found a nice match to either of those watches.

My only requirement is that one has a black strap, the other a brown, and both are dress watch appropriate. I don't really care which watch ends up on which color strap. Thoughts?

Question - is it more expensive to get watches like Orient and Seiko serviced than Swiss watches?

I've become increasingly interested in joining the watch club lately. Are there any basic rules of thumb I should consider when getting my first watch, like matching the color of the band, belt and shoes? How about the color of markers, hands, dial etc? Orient Capital UG1R003W caught my eye since I really like the looks of dress watches and it fits my price range. What do you folks think? Yey or ney?

Personally, I avoid wearing a watch on a black band with brown shoes (and vice versa), but I don't think it's a good idea to try to match too closely. I think it gives off the vibe that you're trying too hard.
