I for one miss shirt collars points that could be used to cover unsightly ripples in the shoulders of sports coats.

I had to read this ad twice to understand that they are advertising a saving of $1.12, that's one dollar and twelve cents!!!!, if you buy two shirts instead of one! How times have changed.

Also note how tight the shirts are. One step from fitting like a wetsuit! To those of you that are always talking about slim fitting shirts, would you want them this slim?

I was speaking from experience.

I think I owned that green shirt.

Pardon me, Lefty,

I lived in Brooklyn, NYC in that era and the height of fashion was John Travolta in "Saturday Night Fever!".

Is it just me, or is this a blatant rip of the only really funny feature Something Awful has ever had: Fashion SWAT!

Zack: Each yin must have its yang. If the Slimfit Brigade and the Relaxed-Fit Brigade were ever to meet on the field of battle not a man would walk away with his creases intact. There would be rumpled fabric and ironing prints everywhere.

Dr. Thorpe: The worst thing that can happen to a soldier in the Slimfit Brigade is to be captured and "let out." And I don't mean released. After the Relaxed-Fit Brigade is done with him, he'll stumble back to base tripping over himself, both legs through the same massive pant-leg of his hideously baggy trousers.

From 75-80, lived across the street from one the discos that the Vinnie and his crew on which the movie was based used to attend.

I sported that look for a short period of time even going as far as perfecting my "bus stop" at the local disco.

Thankfully, the Sex Pistols hit and within a week I burned the polyester, cut the sleeves off my t-shirts and began a speaking with a fake British accent.

Ahh ... youth.

So, will any SF member here admit to wearing such clothing before?
