I don’t agree, Dimitris.

Indeed, navy cotton fades remarkably more than other colours but this is/can be part of its charm.

It may be argued that it is a falatia ad populum but my old Neapolitan tailor who is serving equally old Neapolitan gentlemen always has navy cotton or linen suits to be tried on when I visit him.

How can I upset old Neapolitan gentlemen!

But, our fellow @Jmr928 is neither old, nor Neapolitan!!!

In all truth, there may be a charm there, but in my - old - book, the fabric(s) where blue & navy are best represented are either pure, or mix of wool / cashmere in all weights.

Cotton finds a splendid pairing with beige / sand and military green.

Best,

Dimitris

Okay, I was waiting for the opportunity to take better pictures but I don’t think it will come any time soon, so here is - my new DB suit in navy 21 micron wool from VBC.

I am quite pleased with the fabric, it is very breathable, and yet also extremely crease resistant. I was comparing it to fresco lite I have and it seems to have a drier hand, but the finish is a little bit smoother.

I also quite like the color - in daylight it appears way brighter than indoors, which I think only adds to its versatility.

Very nice. Out of curiosity, why did you go for the reverse pleat?

Very nice. I applaud your choice for rather wide leg trousers.
