I did the same. All of my suit commissions now just have suspender (brace) buttons. And my odd trousers are cut for use with a belt.

and you guys cut a proper fishtail trouser for suspender? My suit trouser always had suspender button + side tab, though I use the suspender once a while really just for aesthetic purpose, then just got really lazy to be bother with it these days.

Careful with making fishtail trousers, that's the Okey exclusive. No one else can make fishtail trousers. You'll get sued for copyrights.

Light grey, medium grey , charcoal grey or taupe before blue trousers.
Do you like wearing a belt better than a trouser with side straps and no belt?
I have the mid-grey flannel and taupe trousers that you made me so I can easily try out those combinations. 🙏

Aesthetically I prefer the side adjusters to belts but, as a practical matter, belts do a better job for me. As your (and less so Tofani) make pents with a higher rise, keeping them in place is especially important.

Are you opposed to suspenders with odd trews, out of curiosity? For better or worse, side straps are useless for me.

Not to rain on the parade of praise, which I share, but
it seems to me that the lower back is too tight, eg.
the vent(s) are pulling open.
Yep. I saw that. Two things are possibly at play. First, it may be a posture issue. Second (more likely), my weight is very consistent except now as I’ve put on ten lbs preparing for the Crossfit Open in February. When that’s over and I drop back to my usual weight, I’ll reassess.

See my post immediately preceding your post.

Side adjusters are not great for me so I prefer belts with odd trousers. I could just put suspenders on all pents but the more casual vibe of odd trousers fits better with belts.

It may be a sin, but I'll confess it here: I ask for my trousers to get buttons for braces even if the cut is decidedly one more for a belt. Because they don't charge me any extra... why not?

Only if you complete the look with a big H buckle and braces at the same time. Otherwise it’s deeply sinful.

About a year ago I was in Napoli and met with Biagio Granata. I don't think I ever posted any pictures of the finished suit... so here goes.

and out in the wild.
(note the clip on braces )

This isn't a recommendation but rather an update, as I know some here have had dealings with Biagio in the past.

Biagio is talented but challenging to work with :)

He insisted on providing the suit for free due to "previous inconveniences". But I ended up ordering an extra pair of trousers and an overcoat, for which I paid the full price.
