On the Absence of PL on polo.com....

Over the years I have collected so much RLPL on double discount on polo.com that I had become accustomed to getting the high quality for "J Crew" prices...

Now that they only offer BL, which pales in comparison (really just a cut not a quality difference between Black and Blue labels) I am inclined to switch designers entirely.

As the economy and spending rebound, I'm sure PL will make a grand re-entry into the polo.com space... but probably not in the way we had grown so reliant (end of season double reductions).

What are you other PL discount fans buying these days? Cashmere, Pants, Ties, etc. All of these I used to pick up at 60-75% off every year in bulk.

I only took a much greater interest in clothing and my appearance in the last year. I would have loved to have been able to pick up RLPL at those prices.

They always had this angle. Also a great deal of RTW made by the big names exclusively for them. I have cashmere, pants, socks, shoes, shirts, polos, various pieces, outerwear... all end of season past 10 years at 50-75% off.

I still see them in stores and in general prices are lower vs. .com anyways. Maybe if you know what you want you can just call into a store and have them ship to you.
