Well... I think its apparent when I posted a few pictures of me changing into two different shirts and asking for shirt fit advice...

I'll bite though... what looks awkward about the bottom half?

Yea really - in the context of the discussion it wasn't totally stupid. Just fit advice.

Though I will agree the bottom half looks crazy awkward. Maybe you're just not relaxed taking the pics... Feet closer together would probably help.

Whilst I was formulating a response, it seems some quality was injected into this thread....

Like it, Berlin Report. Like it a lot. The colour of the pants is nice and welcome against the grey/black. Sweater is certainly something different.

Cuff definitely looks off. Jacket looks great.

One thing I've found is that I have like one pair of jeans that fit comfortably over my engineer boots, and that's my Samurai S5000BKs, which are pretty roomy pants. More tapered ones look tight and weird at the bottom where they meet the boot (or in some other cases, don't really fit down over the shaft of the boot well at all).

You appear to have lost a lot of weight in recent months, Moo.

Thank you - about 20 pounds to date. It has slowed down a bit, mostly due to me not having the time in the past month or so to do as much of my own cooking as I'd like.

I don't even mind how tall the cuff is, it just looks about three or four inches too high. It's a real "house of mirrors" effect on me because the longer I stare at the bottom half of the fit the shorter he gets.

Not to mention that this forum has a fair amount of people who are open minded to a lot of styles and have even worn various outfits from business casual, americana, mod, gothninja, futurey, preppy, etc.... Usually the bad outfits are just lameasses like jonhetcht trying to look sf approved but failing (despite it being fairly easy to do).

I'd rather do a futuristic catburglar dad kinda look well than still fail to pull off an easy "sf approved" look over and over and over

I'm happy to acknowledge there's plenty of rubbish posted in this thread; you're a good example, Chrono, but what rubs me is the holier than thou snark that certain posters are forced to endure it.

Cry me a river.
