If you're not totally multiversed out, Dark Matter by Blake Crouch is a really fun read.
Kind of lost my taste for sci-fi and fantasy novels. I still re-read Tolkien every now-and-again, though. Managed to re-read Moorcock's Elric series during the pandemic but didn't like as much as I did as a kid of course.

That said, I'm reading this sci-fi author's book on climate change and enjoying it very much.

Similarly themed, and maybe considered science fiction as it runs from from current times out 30 years or so, this was the best book I read in 2023. Absolutely riveting.

This is fantastic news.
The books are great.

I'm cautiously optimistic, since the Weitz Brothers and Goyer have solid records, but the books are so much inner narrative. I'm not sure how well that's going to adapt to tv. Having a constant voiceover generally doesn't work well.

Saw a review that described the plot as if someone had fed the Wiki for all modern sci-fi into an AI and just run with it.

If it contains less than 45 minutes of slomo it would be an improvement over all his other fiiiiiiilllllllllmmmmmmmmssssss.
From the review:
"If you don’t mind every single action scene of a two-hour-plus movie being in slow motion, then maybe you can enjoy this too!"
