Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 were great games. I've already given my impression of the TV shows. As far as the movies go, I've rewatched Star Wars (GTFO with that A New Hope sh!t) and Empire Strikes Back multiple times. The only movie since then that I've seen even a second time is Rogue 1, though I liked Solo and wouldn't mind seeing it again.

So I mostly agree with @smittycl

As we watched the lightsaber fights in the most recent Acolyte episode, I whined to my wife that there are almost never any stakes--nobody ever gets hit with a lightsaber and the only blows that land are punches and kicks. Almost nobody ever dies.

Shows what I know, I guess. :\

I'm actually enjoying the Acolyte, for the most part. There are times when I roll my eyes at some of the story choices, but overall I think it's entertaining and doesn't deserve most of the hate.

Jedi are kind of boring when you get down to it. Luke, Kenobi and Rey are great but does anyone care about anyone else? Maybe Kylo when he got his redemption but he had so little screen time after that I’m not sure it mattered.

I think they have oversold the whole Jedi thing in the prequels and in the Acolyte. When Sol was telling Osha that there were "thousands" of younglings at the Jedi temple just like her, my first thought was "how special could they really be, then?" It seems to me that the whole Jedi mystique gets diluted a lot when they're everywhere.

I’ve said this for years. The OT always made me think that they were a group of roaming monks. All the old comics gave me that vibe too.

Then the prequels came out and suddenly they were a political and military force? Seemed wrong.

Star Wars is actually Sikhs vs Siths.

Jedi make more sense if you think of them like the Sikh. At one time there was a Sikh kingdom, after its conquest and diaspora they have served in various militaries, even in their own units, while retaining their ethnoreligious identity.

Thank you for attending my Ted Talk.

Who’s Ted and why do we care what he says?

I've tried re-watching the sequel and the only one that I can still watch is TFA. I've tried rewatching them and just can't.

I have never even tried rewatching Force Awakens because I got so mad about how it mirrors A New Hope and they use Death Star 3.

I don't even know youz dumb akronims...
Those are just one movie in three parts.

Ironically, a problem is the changing directors driving a lack of continuity of story.

I’m beginnng to think Star Wars is just ANH and ESB. Endings are hard and ROTJ was simply “okay.”

The rest, big generalization here, is pap for the most part. A few decent moments, shout out to R1/Andor and the first three Zahn novels I guess.

Maybe honorable mention to the old Jedi Knight PC games?

Do you mean the 90s Thrawn novels? Or the new canon ones from 2017? I thought all six since 2017 were good.

Also KOTR and KOTR 2 were amazing games.
All the prequels openly insulted me. As much as Rise of Skywalker sucks I’d watch it over any of them. I at least like the characters even if the writing is bad.

Kylo and Rey are better characters than anything we saw in the prequels.
I like both Qui Gon and Darth Maul.
