Highly recommend their spinners. I have this one and it is OUTSTANDING. The compression tech is really remarkable and it serves me well. I use the spinner configuration in airports and on smooth ground, and on rough ground I use the back wheels like a traditional roller.
I fly mostly domestic, and sometimes internationally. I have been flying a lot less in the past year than I did for a few years. The international wide body looks smaller than the domestic carryon. I think that it's an optical illusion. I have both, and the international widebody definitely looks smaller at first glance. It's really not very wide at all, and it is visibly shorter than the domestic version. I've flown with the international widebody domestically a few flights, so it's hard to say for sure, but my luggage didn't even get a second look on some pretty packed flights. Fits the overhead well as well. I think that the dimensions actually make it easier to fit into pretty small overheads.
Have either of you had any issues with the Briggs and Riley spinners toppling over? I was interested in getting the international baseline, but I read in several Amazon reviews that they tend to fall over when packed due to the wheel placement.
lol. No. Though, any luggage will more likely tip over if you have weird weight distribution in your case. I suppose that if you are carrying clothes in the main compartment, and gold bullion in the outside compartment, than sure. I always take Amazon reviews, like most people's opinions, with a serious grain of salt.
I received a package from them last night. I had ordered 6 things, received a shipping notice for 4 of the 6, but received only 3, one of which was the wrong item.Does anyone have any experience with American Rag's customer service department? They sent me the wrong item and I've emailed them three times with no response..
