Does anyone know if there are any Sierra Trading Post codes that work on clearance items right now?
you can check with dealsea.com periodically to see when they offer something like that. the most extra discount i remember for clearance items is 30% off. otherwise i've seen 40% (excluding clearance items) frequently. you can always search on dealsea.com to see when the last code was offered.

i do agree that this is slightly different from code begging - i'd like to see this more of an information seeking. in either case, code begging doesn't bother me nearly as much as me asking people where to buy ice cream (on sale or not).

FWIW, code begging > asking for deals on common projects or GATs

Well this is hard to disagree with.

Maybe not frumpy, but seemingly grumpy. And anyone referencing Zappa lyrics ought to be old. But then perhaps I'm old enough not to recognize some kind of retro movement. Regardless, don't you waste your time on me.

Haha, so nice catch! Did you know that without Google? But hey, I listen to Zappa because (aside from the fact he's a ******* genius) I've been a music student all my life. He's an important 20th century musician. I think it's more a statement about mainstream culture than anything. There were plenty of "youngsters" rocking out to Steely Dan these past 2 weekends at Coachella. :nodding: And yes I was one of them.

I did an awful lot of bong hits listening to Kosmic Debris back in the mid 70's, so don't need to Google it (nearly everything else, however; could be related to the bong hits). Ironically a friend of mine texted me last week to wish me happy bday ( dont ask), and mentioned he was at a Steely Dan show which his wife had dragged him to. He didn't mention Coachella per se, but since he lives in Petaluma, and based on what you're saying, I'd say the idds are pretty good...

Whoa, it's late. One more bong hit, and then to bed ( kidding; don't think I've actually seen a bong since the late 70's. Oh, and in case you're wondering, it was all strictly medicinal).

I made the same poncho reference awhile back, can't remember the poster who was wearing, I believe, an RRL poncho...

Anyways, Zappa never really got the props for his great guitar playing...His solo in Zombie Woof was amazing. Going off memory, I think it's 5:40 in.

Looks like Tres Bien is the cheapest place to buy CPs. The mids all in + shipping to Canada is still almost 40% cheaper than Canadian retail after tax.

CPs were so yesterday, SLP for the plain black and whites if you ask me slimmer better silouhuette. <-i cannot spell that word and auto-correct ain't working

not to mention SLP gold inscription over that obnoxious random coding on the CPs in the heels wear no one can see cuz thats what its all about innit.

hate the CP sole as well and that includes RAFS.

I'm not a fan of how those SL sneakers look. The shape of the highs and the thinness of the sole make them almost look like boxing shoes.

I guess they're ideal for someone going for that entire SL aesthetic.

Lol that is possibly the most asinine thing I've read all day and I spent all day listening to presentations from grad students. Common Projects (founded in 2004) will be around longer Saint Laurent Paris (formerly Yves Saint Laurent, founded in 1961), a brand that is famous outside of the in the know fashion world. Give me a ******* break.

If you like them better, say you think the CPs look better. But don't act like they're some diety and run to their defense when someone makes an opinion about a comparable shoe being subjectively better.

Edit: I realized the above could have been satire. If so, disregard my rant.

30 years from now, we will remember Common Projects not as a shoe company but as the incredible real estate developer they became once they realized sneakers Were. So. Over.

Yeah, come over for tea. I live in the projects. The Common Projects.

He said "fashion sneakers" which by that I think he means those particular SLP sneakers not the house itself. What he's saying might be a bit of an exaggeration but I don't think he's far off. Certain New Balance models or Stan Smiths have been the same (ish) for 20+ years. CPs definitely have that possibility. Whether or not they are still in-vogue may change though.
