I think these "private sales" are never intended to be private. If they really wanted them to be private, they'd make the account specific like Gilt does. I don't really have a problem with this, I just think it's sort of "Joseph A. Banksy".

I also just got an email from J Crew for $50 off a purchase of $150 or more... and it seems account specific (a random bunch of letters and numbers). I've never seen a coupon like that from them before. Maybe it's because I haven't ordered from them in a really long time but it might be worth checking your spam/junk folders.

Hmmm, I like the fabrics and the designs. You won't be blown away if you're looking for intricate handiwork, 'cause he leaves it pretty basic on purpose. Def worth it on sale.

My biggest gripe with his coats from last year is pretty random-- the seam allowance under each shoulder seam sorta 'twists around' instead of lying flat, so the shoulders don't look as clean as other designers' jackets. It was annoying enough to make me return two jackets that otherwise fit me. But maybe he fixed that this year?
