You paid more because you want to make sure you got the item in your size before it sold out. I wouldn't expect an adjustment, but treat it as an unexpected bonus if they do.

Grabbed a couple pairs from JCrew for $13.50. These are made in USA. Is that normal for CHUP? I thought they were Japanese?

Yeah they're made by smartwool. Wouldn't say they're necessarily a step down in quality since smartwool socks are very nice. If I were to take a guess it'd be that chup doesn't have the production capabilities to meet the demand of jcrew and so they decided to do a smartwool x chup collab as a cute marketing trick and to increase the number of socks they can sell at the same time.

But I can tell you....it's cotton. It's good but nothing mind blowing. I have a few of the cotton button downs and tees and I like them.
