Gentlemen, it's been forever since I've tried on a 4444 shoe and I don't remember it clearly. I take a 4497s in a 6 width, which is comfortable but still not quite wide enough. Is the 4444 in the same size longer in addition to being wider? Or is it not wider in the toe so much as it is deeper and bulkier to allow for big socks?
Thanks for your time!

Green ones must be mispriced surely?

Cordovan is that!
Surely they made a mistake there. There are several models priced at over £600. The decent thing would be to hit them an email and let them know they have messed up. However, they don’t appear to have any good deals (namely reduced price Tricker’s) so they can sod off.

I think they have a bit of a reputation for never having any deals on anything.

How well is the scratch resistance on Cordovan?

I am finding Comipel cordovan more resistant to scratches than Horween. It also feels more rigid. Overall it’s not bad. I prefer Horween but Comipel is still not that bad.

I have Brett in Mogano too and it took longer to break in than Horween cordovan but they are still great.

Honestly, you don’t have much choice if you want Trickers in cordovan.

They do look good, I can’t comment about Cordovan Horween or Comipel as I’ve never had either leather. Personally I wouldn’t pay the extra £150 (or more) for it but if it would be at a cheaper price, it would be tempting due to the deep colour :)

Once you get your first pair of cordovan, you’ll see it’s not only about color. The texture, feel, and durability are completely unique.

I’d find one style of shoe/boot that you know you’ll wear for years and get it in cordovan. If you take care of it, cordovan can last decades.

I quite fancy trying some cordovan shoes. I have a Horween cordovan watch strap and i’ve never known a watch strap as resilient.
