Last advice
Hello, can you advice me a last please for another boots? I currently have 4497 last on my stows, and it fits great for winter with thicker socks for for thinner socks that I wear in summer are slightly roomier in toe box. I tried half size down from 4497, and they fits perfect in width, but because of shorter lenght my pinky toe was touching leather in rounding area of toe so it will probably cause blisters in long term. So I think that stay in my current length is better idea.

Can you recommend me based on this information what last should be good for me? What about w2298? Does w2298 fits snuggier?

For reference I have also experience with following UK lasts:
CJ 9/378 - Nice snug fit. with thin socks
CJ 9/365 - Comfortable fit with all socks
CJ 9/335 - Comfortable fit with all socks, but touching pinky toe to leather in thicker socks

I think that the w2298 is a wee bit roomier around the outside of the little toe area but has a lower vamp.

W2298 is indeed a bit narrower around the toe, but similar around the rest of the shoe. I also wear the 4497S with thicker socks and it's perfect, but the 2298 rubbed my little toe when new. When I use thinner socks, 2298 sits a bit roomy at the heel which means it doesn't really work as a summer shoe for me. Luckily the pinky toe rub went away after a few wears, but ideally I still use a mid-thickness sock to fill up the volume.

In short; with a slightly wider foot it's an odd fit for me and I prefer the 4444/4497.

To be honest I have oposite problem. My brannock size is 10.5 D/E US, so it is 9.5 D/E UK I guess?

Which means that I should have 9.5, but because of narrower fit they are too big, so I usually find comfortable to wear 9E because I don't know much brands in UK and EU which made D width.

Oh man, I remember when these were released. I'm so tempted now to go with the fudge chamois Bourton's.

Please anyone, talk me out of them. I already have 4 pairs of Tricker's all purchased in the last year: one pair of boots in CXL, two pairs (Richard and Robert) in reversed suede and a pair of suede Bourton's. This Chamois leather is too similar to the waxy roughouts, right?

(the peanut longwings are my favorite)
