I'm glad someone else has noticed this. I have two pairs of boots with 'dainite type' soles made by Itshide and the rubber studs tear off and wear down really quickly. The genuine Dainite soles wear much more evenly.

On the subject of Ridgeway soles, I think they are great but I don't believe Trickers use them any more. A real shame.

Think they can use them (ridgeway) just don’t.

Think the tongue has been sorted as standard Trickers make up with same material as the boot.

Tricker's MTO allows you to choose almost every separate part including the tongue...

A few pairs of Tricker's penny loafers as well as a pair of tramping shoes are on steep discount from this Mexican retailer. I bought a pair of Alden loafers myself, and although shipping was pretty steep to Seattle (~$46 USD), the loafers were still around $225 altogether. If the size fits, weigh and see if the slim pickings are worth the price!
