I have a question for the Barbour experts out there: I was recently in London and went in to several of the Barbour stores where it seemed they carried only lines other than the classic line (i.e. heritage, McQueen, etc.). I just went into Orvis in the States yesterday, where they carry the Bedale and Beaufort, and I got the feeling that the two classic jackets are much better quality than those of the other lines. Are the other lines made in China while the Bedale and Beaufort are still made in England? Anyone know?

I have 3 International's (Limited Edition Original Green, Classic Black & 2011 75th) all 3 are Made In England

I'm sure this has been asked but I couldn't find it in a quick scan of 16 + pages.

If you have a brand new International, if you wash it in cold water, hang dry will it give it a broken in look or will it look odd? Brand new they just look so stiff and , well, new.

PS: I assume I would need to rewax it.

Never wash a (Wax treated) Barbour.

Just wear it!

FYI, North River Outfitter currently has all their Barbour stuff 20% off with code MAKEOVER until 8/28. Just ordered a Beaufort and the code worked perfectly.

We've just begun to get fall stock in and barbour seems to have some neat stuff for winter (wool parka, a tweedy take on the classic waxed jackets, etc).

I'm going to get some pictures up ASAP. We also have a few of this season's to-ki-tos and other jackets on discount.

also if you ever found the need to buy a waxed cotton cape.... stay tuned
