Are there any shorter people that wear the Beaufort ?

I have a Ashby in Olive but it feels abit girlie. Am a slim 5’7 and looking to flip it for a Beaufort but feel it might be too long even though specs say Beaufort is only 2.5“ longer than the Ashby. (Ashby 30.5”, Beaufort 33”)

Some time ago I did try a Beaufort in sz38 but it felt like am wearing a tent. My normal size is medium but I don’t want it to be too baggy so perhaps a sz36 or sz34.

@Purplelabel Loving this one!! I'm a big fan of the military inspired barbours like the Sapper and Cowen Commando. I haven't checked the line in a few years but it looks like there are several new military-inspired models these days.

I just sold a couple of barbour's that were too big on me now but I broke out my Sapper this week with all the rain we've had in the Northeast. It's one of my favorites having owned several waxed jackets from barbour & belstaff over the years.

Discontinued about 10 years ago, this is the Sapper in Barbour's 4 oz Flyweight waxed cotton. I think I've had it 10 years now. It's been rewaxed a couple of times. I always sent it to the Barbour factory in NH but it's due for another and I'm thinking of doing it myself.

Some interesting reading on the military Barbours.

Does any one know why barbour Jacket is so expensive in Japan.
Take barbour Beaufort for example. The retail price is aroud GBP 250 or USD 350 at all major online retailer. But in Barbour Japan website it's over 60K yen (USD 530).

Is there any difference between those sold in Japan and other countries?
Thanks
Have you tried Cox the Saddler in the UK? https://www.saddler.co.uk/
I've ordered 4 Barbour's from them in the last year. Prices are the lowest I've found. Shipping to US takes about 10 days but it has always worked out well for me. Give them a try!

Also, check out the sub on Reddit. The owner of Cox the Saddler frequents that sub (Sara). She has been very responsive on that thread.

Best of luck!

that’s what I’m trying to figure out. It’s ******* mental that they sell beauforts for so much! It’s dumb.

I'm a "husky" 5'8" and have a C44 Beaufort and it fits great. Its long enough to just barely cover a sport coat, but I dont think its too long at all...particularly since its my go-to whenever its raining out.

IMHO they should at least be a little baggy, enough to comfortably wear a sweatshirt underneath

Is 44 your regular size or did you size down ?
