Probably a dumb question, but I assume shearling lined shoes are limited to colder temps? Meaning, most will likely have a pair of shearling lined boots and a pair of non-shearling lined boots?

No, but I haven't worn them. Hence they are NIB. But from what I understand the Shearling doesn't really make them non-starter for normal wear as they don't get that warm according to what I've read from a number of posters. However you can always feel free to check out the EG and Skoak thread and see what other users with EG Galway Shearling boots have to say.

The only logical explanation why these still are unsold is a "bigger than average" size ..

More likely the shearling. These would have been mine a long time ago but for that.

That's entirely possible, but then again others have and do buy these type of boots with the shearling lining. In fact Skoaktiebolaget plans on selling another round of these in Walnut CC with Shearling lining later on this year just as they sold these last year. So whether or not mine sell because of the shearling lining I'll just have to wait and see. If they don't then I'll just end up keeping them. However I already kind of figured you had a problem with the shearling lining based on your earlier post. So I get it already, I think we all understand you don't like shearling lining. Thank you.

Possibly the shearling lining is only a problem as a lot of people are not experienced with it? Myself included - I wonder if it changes the fit at all and how substantial is the degree of lining? Seems to me it shouldn't necessarily restrict the wearer to only using is very cold weather, as usually any kind of wool is quite comfortably adaptable through different weather conditions. I imagine wearers who are familiar with it would be able to illuminate us on the subject. This is a lovely make up IMO

Thank you.

Because I tried them on I can say the fit was not an issue and even Skoaktiebolaget stated the fit doesn't really change much because of the lining. I can't personally say how weather adaptable they are with regards to the lining because I only tried them on, however it is my understanding that one can wear them inside without issue. However if someone were interested enough you could get a better idea if you were to ask these same questions in the Edward Green or Skoaktiebolaget threads as I am sure someone could find a number of people who would be willing to share their personal experiences with this boot. It is my understanding that Skoaktiebolaget intends to stock this same boot but in Walnut CC this fall.
