New Canali Suit. Would this shoe and tie combo work?

Hello good people. I am new to styleforum, in the respect that I have not previously posted any questions. I have bought myself a new Canali grey suit, and a number of accessories to accompany it. I would like to ask if you think that this combination would work. The suit is this one

http://www.mrporter.com/en-gb/mens/...78299519|||c&gclid=COLt8MCKzL8CFVIPtAodWR8Aaw

The tie is brown/bronze in a herringbone pattern, and the shoes are Canali antiqued calfskin, which I have owned and used for some time.

My questions are: Would these compliment this particular suit? Would a white or blue shirt be acceptable? Would they be more autumnal colours? Any advice would be much appreciated!

tie is nice, but may not look very good with a grey suit depending on how close the shades are.

The pattern on the toe of the shoes is horrific. If this is a business setting, find some different footwear

Hi, thank you for your reply. It is nice to have another person confirm my original suspicions, and steer me away from making errors.
I generally only wear black shoes for business wear, but I have a number of alternative plain brown shoes that will be perhaps more suited.
I shall try a few different combinations, and see which one looks the best. Once again many thanks for your input. All the best.

Thank you very much. Powder blue sounds like an excellent suggestion!
I have just arranged them together, and the combination looks very pleasing indeed.
I trust that socks should match the suit, and not the shoes or tie?
