Never bought shoe trees before ... pleh!

The Nordstrom's, Woodlore and Allen-Edmonds shoe trees are all made by Woodlore, which Allen-Edmonds owns.

I can recall going into the Santa Ana Main Place Nordstrom's and telling a callow young shoe salesman that I'd like to get some of his Woodlore shoe trees. With a touch of indignation, he replied, "I'm sorry, we only carry Nordstrom's shoe trees." With avuncular patience I set the lad straight on the Woodlore-Nordstrom's-A-E relationship.

FWIW, I have never noticed an iota of practical difference between the split-toe and solid-toe trees.

Bought some today at Nordtroms Rack for $12.90. Woodlore.

When compared side by side, I found the trees bought at Nordstrom slightly different than the ones from Century21. Can't remember if it was the heel piece size or the front part. I know I like the ones from Century better.

The Nordy's ones are still home in boxes. Come to think of it, they come in different boxes.

Aha! The ones I got from Nordy's are Rochester brand (I think).

For some reason, I have AE shoe trees which don't fit well in any other pair of shoes I have, except they fit my AE Moras great.

If anyone would be willing to do me the favour of picking up a few pairs of trees at that price and shipping them over to me, please let me know. Trees here are very difficult to come by at reasonable prices (my cobbler sells rochesters for upwards of 30.00!) and trying to snipe lots of 4 on ebay has not been a successful venture thus far. The several pair of AE trees in XL I have seem about right for most of my shoes, so assuming the woodlores are the same tree, I think that's what I should be looking for. Unless someone knows where I could find them in Vancouver for a reasonable price?

Sierra Trading Post has Woodlore Trees for a nice deal.

I got some for $13.73 and then later they went on supersale for ~$10.

STP always has a 15% off floating around out there. You have to buy over $100 worth though!

They've had them on sale for $9.90 the past two weeks or so at all Nordstrom Racks. They are normally $12.90.
