In the comics, Superman has a little known weakness to magic. It's not really discussed in the movies* and is relatively unknown to anyone who didn't nerd it up reading comics as a little kid. But yeah. Pretty sure Thor's powers and hammer are magical, ergo, he could wipe the floor with Superman. Q.E.D.


*Not in the Superman movies, at least, but it is central to the plot of the movie Supergirl.
