Scabal, but it was 50% mohair, 35% linen and 15% silk. Makes up and handles differently than a wool/mohair blend.

I'm looking at Scabal Mohair book 1940 and I would put this range up there with Smiths and move Cape Breeze down a notch.

Just looked at the Scabal site--is this the "Cannes" bunch? I see a dark blue listed as 702393.

For my purposes--temperature likely 80-90F, wanting to both be comfortable and look presentable for photos, would your top recommendation be:

1. Scabal mohair linen silk as above?
2. Crispaire mohair-wool. I saw this when they were here. It seemed a little rough to me, but it seems as though people in this thread have had positive experiences.
3. A Scabal mohair-wool without linen and silk--in the 260 gram range?

If it matters at all, I will try to have this lined in ermazine (assuming Chan will source).

I appreciate other suggestions (Smiths, Dugdale), but I'm not sure Chan carries those books (as they were not among their suggestions over email) and I believe Chan will no longer do CMT.

Many thanks.

Was that the solid? What was the gray with the blue pin stripe?

Related to this, I was looking at Scabal 702390 -- which I believe is a mohair/linen blend, maybe with silk, too? Does anybody have any experience with this material? Thanks.

The stuff that I wore today is in the Crispaire wool/mohair:

It has a nice, sanitation worker handle.

What did you do with this cloth (50% mohair, 35% linen, 15% silk)? How did it turn out? DId it wear like linen regarding wrinkling? Was it cool temp wise? Did it hold up given how thin it is? I am having a suit made from this now.
