Hi All,

I just purchased these Cole Haan shoes because I got a killer deal on them.

My questions is...can anyone identify them? I cant seems to find which line they came from. The box says Benton Wingtip II but I can't find that line on Cole Haan's site. MSRP is $300 from Nostrum, I picked them up for $70.

Thanks!

TMG

These are second hand? They do look as if they have had a hard life and been neglected. You will find various threads on cleaning shoes, seemingly a little known skill these days. Whatever do mothers teach (or not)_ the young nowadays?

These were sold as "new" but they did look to have a hard life in the store.

I took these last night and cleaned them with Lexol leather cleaner. It took off a ton of polish and made the shoe nice and soft. Then conditioned with Lexol conditioner then polished with a neutral polish. Brushed and buffed and they look like the $300 shoe they were meant to be!

Side note: I did the same treatment to my Apt. 9 brogue wingtips right after and the difference in leather quality from my Cole Haans to my Apt. 9's was night and day. The cheaper shoes feel more plastic-y and much less like real leather than the Haan's

EDIT: I'm 27...so some "youngsters" were taught these skills ;)
