Hi everyone!

I'm a long time lurker on this forum and AAAC. I have a couple of questions for you all. I tried using the search function to address my concerns, but to no avail.

Anyway, I've been building my business casual wardrobe for when I start work in August. I will be working as an intern for an audit firm in S. Florida. I've recently fallen inlove with the whole trad way for dressing, and I've bought a bunch of OCBD shirts from Brook Brothers, and Polo RL. (Personally, I like the BB ones better)

The other day I bought these pants from Paul Fredrick. They are Super 100s wool pants in black, Navy and Tan.

I coudn't help but notice that they seem a tad to formal to be worn with OCBD shirts. Is it just me? Or would khakis from Dockers suit me better?

So I'm considering buying my pants from Dockers instead.

So what should I do? Are my instincts right?

Thanks in advance for you responses!

And any Trad advice is greatly appreciated!!!!

Brooks Brothers Milano fit pants are standard, business casual pants. They also make them in a variety of materials and colors, so you can more or less cover all your bases. A word of warning, they are their most "tailored" (read: slim) fit, so if you're a larger guy you might be better served with another cut. Either way, BB is your place.

Also, as a general rule, avoid black pants. They never look good.

Thanks Bourbon. I'm on the smaller side. I'm 5'5" and slim with an athletic build. I was looking over BB's pants yesterday actually. I found that Dockers cost less, but of course- you get what you pay for right? lol
