Received this Navy Wool Pea Coat as a gift from relatives in Korea. Size is 105 cm (Korean sizing, equivalent to Men’s Large). I am 6’ and 175 lbs, normally wear 40R, and it fits me perfectly. Double Breasted, 6-buttons, side-vented.
Brand is “Bean Pole” (sort of a Korean preppy equivalent of Beams (Japan), Hackett (UK), Faconnable or Breuer (France)).
Coat has some nice, interesting styling details that, in my opinion, puts it a notch above your standard-issue pea coat:
-trench coat-style button-down rain flap on rear shoulder blades (sorry, not sure if this has a name)
-red/white/blue striping under collar with buckling throat latch (will not slip out due to asymmetric shape and buckle)
-reinforced gussets on side hand pockets
-horn buttons throughout
-blue/white striped shirt-fabric lining with red/blue repp tie-style highlights around inner pockets, with buttoning flaps
-strap/button on cuffs
-contrast stitching on lining
-warm lining—achieves warmth without extra bulk
-very high level of craftsmanship and stitching, feels like a very high quality coat
I already have multiple pea coats so no need for this one; have only worn it to try on but not outdoors. Selling to clear out some room in my closet. Original retail value ~$500. Made in Korea.
Measurements:
Length: 33.5” (top of collar to bottom of coat; 32” in rear)
Sleeve: 26” from cuff to shoulder point; 36” to midpoint of collar
Shoulder-to-shoulder: 19” (straight across)
Armpit-to-armpit: 21”
Waist (center button): 20”
Width at bottom seam: 21.5”
Sleeve width: 6” across at cuff
Lapels: 4.5" across (upper) and 4.75" across (lower)
