I guess not, i called a Barneys co-op store in NYC and they didn't have my size so i asked if they would be able to check another store that has them. I called the other store and asked them to transfer me to the men's denim department and i was able to phone order them in my size. You just need the style # from their online store. I hope that helps.

Thoughts?

is it me or do the pockets on those look very uneven? Might be the way you're standing but looks like the distance between the edge of the pockets to the top button looks way off

Maybe SG cut is just not for him, Weird Guys might look better

I guess I should've put a couple of caveats in my post:

Yes i have big thighs (24" on my 5'6" frame). I feel like an intense taper (like the WG) would look really silly, so I prefer a slim/taper (like APC NS--which, if i returned these, is what i'd get.). I also like a wider than usual waist--I have trouble with shirts fitting "perfectly" so a little more leeway in the waist means less of a sharp contrast when I tuck in shirts (even ones i've had taken in billow out at least a little bit).

That being said, I want to make sure the overall effect looks okay, or just silly. Looking at the pictures, I personally like it, but I figure i'd make sure nobody was like

Hey guys
i just got a pair of N&F momotaro japan x canada collab from barneys for really good price
I was wondering if the waist will stretch
i got size 29 and i have very hard time buttoning top 2. i can button them but its really tight
idk if i should get 30. i was worried that if i got 30 then the jeans will stretch out.
what do you think?

(my apc is size 28 but when i got them i had hard time buttoning the top one)

If you can button them up, they will stretch. If you still think they're too tight maybe try soaking them and putting them on when they're still wet!

I've got tree trunk thighs and found the WG cut (after stretching) is the best fitting pair of denim I have (I actually prefer it over APC NS). I don't like/can't size down like other people do, so having a comfortable fit and avoiding the sausage casing look in the legs means the waist in my jeans is always a bit looser. No biggie for me, thats what belts are for.

So dont be too worried about the more significant taper compared to the NS.

If you're worried about looking silly, please return these. Weird Guy would have the opposite effect, they would fit you correctly in the thighs, and have a slim leg. What you are effectively wearing right now is much closer to APC PS, not NS. If you don't want a taper, get Slim Guy. if you want a Skinny fit, your frame requires Weird Guy. That is why the Weird Guy cut is made...so that dudes with big thighs can have a skinny fit without painted on thighs and a flare. Believe it or not, this is what you have now. Trust me, I have these, I wear Skinny Guy, and this is not how they are supposed to fit. You also do not need to soak sanforized denim. For your own sanity return these. If you want Momotaro Denim buy some Momo's. One of the main appeals of this collab was that they were in a Skinny Guy cut, which, until recently, was unheard of from Momo. Not trying to sound too harsh, but looking out for you. These need to go. Weird Guy worn correctly fixes the problem men with big thighs have in trying to wear Skinny Denim.

Tenue de Nรƒ mes
We have teamed up with the denim-heads at Naked and Famous for a limited run of 24 pairs of jeans in a 13oz green, rope-dyed army repro denim. With admirable attention to detail, a team of people have gone all out on this project. Specific attention has been paid to matching the shade of green perfectly. The mid-green color proved a particular challenge since the dye is very unstable, but the hard work has paid off, giving us a beautiful and truly inspired color. The production manager of the mill is obsessed with vintage army materials. He has a jaw-dropping collection of old WW2 army fabrics such as uniforms, tents, tarps, bags from which the color for the warp of this particular denim was chosen. The pocket lining is made from a fabric called 'Crusader' and is made in Montreal. It is a rip-stop twill that is usually reserved for the shell of jackets worn by firefighters and military personnel. The duo logo leather patch is made from a 10oz thick natural veggie tanned bridal leather, most often used to make horse saddles. Every single pair is hand-numbered, signed and shipped in a custom carrier bag with denim belt-loop fastening. Made in Canada. Limited to 24 pairs.
