WalMart, Target, Home Depot etc. Any big box stores should have screwdrivers with interchangable screw bits to fit different sizes.

Yea, I'll try to find a hardware store. What size do I ask for? I'm not exactly some helpless city *** who can't fix anything but in general I don't ever really keep tools around since I almost never have any use for them.

It might just be broken...the big PC manufacturers (other than apple and IBM/lenovo) like to cheap the **** out and cut every corner they possibly can.

The DVD drive is a good place to cheap out. I know a lot of people who have had them die...one with a dell that is on its 3rd drive and another that is now a happy macbook user after their dvd drive took a dump on them and they decided they hated their computer.

Luckily, you have the option to cheap out as well...you should be able to get a similar no-name DVD drive that fits inside the HP casing and will last you about as long as the original one did

Go to Radioshack. They'll have a screwdriver set that costs around $6-8 that will have an array of screwdrivers that will fit perfectly.

I fear for the human race. Owning a screwdriver and being able to solve simple computer problems is what seperates us from the apes...

Yea I don't really pretend to be any better than apes. I just like ******* and eating, so I'm no better than any of them.
