MTM shirt sleeve problem

Hi,

I just bought an MTM shirt because those off the rack just never quite matched my ape-like sleeve length requirements. It fits very nicely but I noticed that when I flex my arm, the shirt becomes very tight at the crook of the arm, something that hasn't happened to me before with any shirt. So, hoping that you can forgive a budding suit wearer his ignorant questions, does anybody know what the likely cause of that is? Are the sleeves in some way to short? Is it the shoulders? Or are the sleeves in some way to narrowly cut? It doesn't bother me terribly but there seems no reason to not get it right the next time. Thanks for your help!

I'm guessing that that means sleeves are too slim.

Right ok. Sorry if I sounded stupid, I had always thought shirt sleeves are kind of... standardised? My arms are not particularly fat. Well then, back to the drawing board. Unless somebody else has any other ideas?

The sleeves may be too slim because the armhole is too small. Maybe try slightly larger armholes on your next MTM shirt.

you did right to order only one shirt.
if you asked for a slim fit, this may be their default sleeve.
if you decide to order again let them know of the problem.
if the m2m shirt has a narrower sleeve than your rtw shirts let them know how wide you need.
if the tightness is caused by pulling over the point of the elbow then you need more length.
