But Ambrosi does the little button in the cuffs... that's worth the €100/month (or part thereof) that il maestro charges for the exquisite torture of making you wait while your fabric sits in a bin on top of your pattern.
Eh...
Not true, it must be something they do for tourist trade.... The only default option seam to be a trouser on the short size that close tightly above the shoe.
Maybe. The only pants that don't have such buttons are from NSM, that are probably one of the most tourist oriented
I read this as meaning that NSM is the only tailor in Naples that treated you as anything other than a tourist. There couldn't be a more pointless adornment on a pair of pants, unless you really need something to let the sand out of your cuffs.
Mr Ambrosi is a good man.
I find the adornment thrilling to the little black lump of coal that is my heart. Iris Tailor in Singapore assures me that they can accomplish this pointless detail, and my heart fills with unnatural joy at the prospect of collecting my pants with this detail from them.
I would have to completely agree and want that small detail on the next pair of pants I have made. Getting sand in my cuffs was one of the reasons I stopped getting my pants cuffed years back!
If I had 700 bucks on the line, you'd bet I'd find the biggest (cut-rate) thugs in Naples to find them pantalones, or at least get some kinda response on em.
