Blue collar, that is awesome. Love the blue and brown of the last one too.

Nobody likes a quitter. :plain:

You've got a point. But might be better to intentionally quit riding than unintentionally stop being a dad. Shoot, why'd I have to formulate it like that?

Did someone say something?

Not that I heard.

...
I wear eye-glasses when I ride since I refuse to wear contacts ever, so having a photochromatic shield is a Godsend.

If I don't give up riding and get a new helmet, I'd like to get one. Although, I have been pretty happy w/ the tinted insert. I think I have this one.

Instead of that type of insert you could just tape electrical tape to the top of the visor. That's what I do and it works well.

It's winter time.  Anyone building anything cool in their garages?  Or should I take that to the HAMB?

I've spent most of the winter looking for a project but nothing local has been worth it. Being a Honda guy, I wanted a CL450/350 to fix up but no luck. It looks like I'll just wait another month and buy a W650 or Bonnie.

I had a dream I rode my bike into a ditch and the only thing damaged was the fork. I was able to rationalize getting a ZX6R front end.

I do need a new rear tire and I suppose with the age of my tires changing the fronts wouldn't hurt either. Bike is getting sold either this year or next so I'm trying to put as little money into it as possible. Its a Ninja 650.

While I'm here might as well ask... any recommendations on tires? My main riding is commuting (97%), with a handful of fun rides in the mountains and hopefully a few trackdays too. I'm guessing a sport touring tire should be my best bet.

Won't they square off too quickly? I had super corsas before and while they were pretty soft and teh warm grip was phenominal. if it got cool or wet they were a handful. My vote would be Pilot Road 4s

I love W650s. There's a lot that you can do with them. Here's one that I'm working on right now.

@BlueCollar that's very tidy.

I've been putting this together for the last year or so. I sorta fit it in between other projects. It started out as a R90/6 that I dual plugged, installed high compression pistons, 40mm Dellortos, cleaned up ports, Hoske exhaust, etc. The engine has been raised in the frame which has been heavily braced. Same for the swing arm. I added a remote filter since you can't easily access the stock filter with the raised engine. The front brake is a Ceriani magnesium 4LS drum from my old Vincent race bike. The fairing is a Avonaire that I'm just now making mounts for.

Corsas do have great grip. I've only ridden in the rain a bit and they were fine, but I was being tame. Full disclosure: i drive a car in bad weather usually. As for squaring off.... I mean not if you CORNER brah...
