I don't really like buying used clothes but I did search before and people wanted 800+. I'd be better off finding a new one on sale

The APC ma-1 is $560 on eastdane.

And lmao APC has a low standard jeans now.

I always liked Rick Owens the best but can't justify the price.

APC's prices are a bit nuts at the moment for me. At $560, there are a whole bunch of choices that are better imo, not even including the second hand market.

Crap, I wish I saw your Devoa earlier. I just pulled the trigger on Schneider's thinner jacket.

Just wanted to drop a note here... we're Affiliate Vendors and we just introduced our first suede MA-1 jackets. They're made in Portugal and we have two colors available. Thought that you guys might dig them! They're priced at $495, but you can use the code below at checkout to get 15% off until midnight EST, Thursday, 10/27:

SuedeJackets-15%off

We've also got the jackets in both NY and LA if you're local to either area and want to try them on in person.

MA-1 JACKET IN SNUFF SUEDE: $495

MA-1 JACKET IN GHOST SUEDE: $495

Looking for recommendations for a luxe/upscale bomber. I'm in my late 30s and I know I can't do a Alpha Industries MA-1 because the shiny nylon shell is just too flashy for me and it's too puffy. So something suede-like and lined is likely what I'm after. I've tried overshirts and other jackets and I just can't do jackets in the summer (I run hot) or even in the fall/spring (so harringtons or light jackets are out) so this is only necessary in the winter/late fall/early spring that fits my aesthetic (minimal/athleisure/luxe streetwear). Some ideas:

  • Valstar Valstarino - is it still the GOAT? seems memeworthy around MFA/SF types, curious if its still really as good as it gets
  • PWVC moleskin bomber - I love PWVC (I have their shirt jackets/overshirts and they fit so well) and I love the design. My ONLY concern is its cotton, may not be that warm. They don't have a suede equivalent (other than their sherling collar bomber which is a bit bulky/much)
  • Luca Faloni bomber - harrington meets suede bomber. also slim and minimal. probably my 3rd favorite below Valstar and PWVC. curious about the quality though if the quality and price are aligned.
  • Dehen varsity jacket - varsity jacket is like a more youthful streetwear-like bomber but don't like the shininess of the leather arms
  • Real McCoys bomber/varsity - looks nice but is wool (less durable?) and seems pricey for what you get and seems a bit bulky
  • Officine Generale Vulfran bomber - this has been touted around the vlogosphere because of Ryan Reynolds but it seems like it's more expensive than the quality would lead it to be. Sort of in a similar situation to Luca Faloni in my mind.
  • any others I'm missing?
