Anyone else that has ordered the vbc pants a little underwhelmed with the feel of the fabric? I thought it would feel a little more luxurious. It feels closer to a wool blend.

To be honest I actually had a similar impression upon delivery. My Rust VBC have a similar hand and weight as my two pairs of Woolrich trousers.

However, the VBC are at least marginally better in both drape and wrinkle resistance. I'd say they are worth the $30 extra over the Woolrich.

Honestly? Not really, no.
I bought 5 pairs during the sale last year and think they're lightweight, smooth, with a silky hand and lovely drape.

I will say that I've never ordered anything heavy weight or anything in cashmere etc. given that I live in a tropical climate, so I'm not sure if I'm really the right guy to compare them to heavier/more substantial fabrics.

They are unlined. This fabric is quite thick and has a some weight to it and is definitely not see-through.

Always nice to see the Natural Ecru Hopsack out in the wild.

It's my favourite Luxire own-label fabric. Currently getting a shirt jacket made up in it too (not for wear with the pants, can have too much of a good thing).

Agree that it's a great fabric. Yes, it breathes well and I also agree with going unlined. It is definitely on the casual end of the spectrum, though. The linen-cotton canvas fabrics are somewhat more formal IMHO as they are less slubby, rumple less, and hold a crease better.

Does anyone know if Luxire does coloring? How would you go about to get a shirt with a coloured line on the collar like the one Archer is wearing in the picture?

2 x shirts and 2 x trousers are shipping, in under a month, and this includes a late modification to the trouser pattern on my part and a query on collar shapes from Luxire! Very impressed.
