Getting into some firefighting mode while we find a long lasting solution. Here is the change we have done onto the site with immediate effect:

We have increased shipping charge from $15 to $25 for all Europe orders. This is a flat fee. This will include all duties and fees.

This should solve the immediate issue.

At the same time, we are working hard on finding a better solution.

I'm definitely fine with that over paying duties

I have an order with you that I have already paid (including 15$ shipping) but has not yet shipped, is there the chance to pay the extra 10$ and get the flat fee?

So is the problem now that Luxire puts the real value on the packingreceipt in stead of $ 10 per item? Because in the past, when I ordered no more than two products, I never got hit by customs. When Luxire puts the full value on the receipt than I would definetely prefer a flat fee of $ 25, because I can put more items than two in one order!

That sounds great! I don't envy your position, trying to find the best solution for many customers in many different countries :)

Well, I got my order in today. I ordered the shirt on 21/02/2014, so in little over a month which is okay. However, on my order of $59.99 (the price of the shirt) I, of course, had to pay shipping costs of $15 amounting to $74.99. However, today when DHL brought the package I had to pay an extra €29,60 (which is $40.82!!) making the shirt a total of $115.81!!

What exactly is this extra fee? Did DHL bring you an itemized bill of duties, taxes, etc. or did DHL label it under some completely bollocks "processing fees"?

On a recent order of shoes, shipped from UK to Switzerland with DHL, this is what I got:

VAT 32,10 chf (8% of 401.25 chf that is the total price of shoes + shipping)
a fee of 3 chf because they anticipated the VAT to the Custom
a fee of 19.5 chf for managing the Custom clearing

With that waistband height... do you ask Luxire to take the height of it into the back rise? I mean, the back rise will remain the same measurement, right?

Oh, forgot about specifying this. I gathered, since they always include the waistband in the rise, this would also apply here.

Anyone have experience with the Ecru Twill Chino - http://luxire.com/collections/pants-sorted-by-price/products/ecru-summer-chino ?

Would prefer the Light Tan Twill Chino - http://luxire.com/collections/pants-sorted-by-price/products/light-tan-twill-chino - but this one is sold out.

I've ordered jeans by Luxire before, but never other types of trousers. What is the "safe" cookie-cutter options for chinos?

I'm thinking no pleats, bottom cuff at 1" and unsure of lining. But if I go for the kind above - the ecru twill chino, which is marked as a summer chino, should I go no lining or front lined? I will probably use them from spring to early fall.

For me, a $59 shirt + $15 dollars shipping would cost another $39 to import, to a total of about $115 just for a single shirt. a flat $25 would be definitely be preferable.

I ordered a shirt yesterday from Canada, so I'm waiting to see what happens with duties and taxes. My previous orders of single shirts did not attract any extra fees.

I think the flat rate solution is very good, at least for now. DHL charges me (seemingly) arbitrary fees for duty handling, but the least I've paid is still way above $25. And that's just for handling.

Yeah he didn't quite specify it. He said processing fees of some sort, and something with taxes.

I think he wasn't fully aware of what they were for himself, but he wouldn't give me the shirt without me paying him so there wasn't much I could do about it.

This is a good idea. But since I paid over $115 dollar for an $59.99 ($74.99 inc shipping) shirt I was wondering if we could arrange some sort of compensation for my next order? (order #6061)
