Posting this here for posterity. Got my second shirt from Luxire yesterday, and as with the first one, I was disappointed with the collar.
What I asked for (not the fabric):
What I received:
To be fair, I did not specify a collar spread, only a collar point of 3 inches and a copy of the first image above.
I contacted Luxire with the following message:
and received the following reply:
The reply does not address half of my questions/concerns, nor does it seem to attempt to reinforce this prior statement.
IMO, the order process at Luxire is too open ended and provides no good customer guidance on what to expect if a certain detail is omitted due to an unwise assumption. Default measurements and shapes, such as the default tie gap, for example, are not described anywhere in the order form -- or elsewhere on the luxire.com site for that matter.

Hello--
I've just received my second order from Luxire today, and as with the first order, I really like the fabric, fit and workmanship on it, but I am not so impressed with the shape of the collars.
Particularly on this second order, the button-down collar has very oddly angled collar points as compared to a traditional button-down collar dress shirt and that makes it fit strangely and tug outwards horizontally along the collar bone from where the collar points are buttoned -- particularly when paired with a tie.
When placing the order, I envisioned a collar shaped more like in the photo I used from another shirt made by Luxire (see attached 'envisioned' photo) to denote the style collar I was after. The shirt I received has a collar very different from that (see attached 'received' photo). Note that the photo of the blue oxford shirt was originally sent with the order to illustrate the desired general shape of the collar but also the undesired 'gap' on the base of the collars.
Is this something that is fixable if I can send this shirt back to you? If I decide to place future orders, how do I ensure the collar is done more predictably?
Thanks in advance for your concern.
and received the following reply:
Hi Andrew,
Our button-down collars have 0.5" tie gap by default. As you requested no tie gap, we made it that way.
For the spread, you can specify what you would like. For the blue shirt, the spread is 4.0"
Thus, if in your prder you specify that you would like the tie gap to be zero and the spread to be 4", the collar would shape up accordingly.
Thanks and Regards,
Theresa James
