I would tighten up the armholes and maybe take some fabric out at the chest and waist. You can simulate the latter changes by pinning it up and seeing if it works better.

Recommended amount for armholes? Do you think they need to be raised? I don't know if it's even possible. Thanks and I'm done with my thread crap.

I think we're talking about the same thing. If you reduce the diameter of the sleeve at the armhole, the bottom of it will be raised. It seems counterintuitive, but the more closely it fits there (assuming it's not too tight), the less constrained your movement is. I couldn't say how much you need to take them in, though. Try pinning the sleeves, too.

What are people's experiences with the FedEx estimated delivery feature? Is it to be trusted?
My shirt shipped yesterday, and it says it will arrive tomorrow.

Very accurate, at least for the two orders I've received from Luxire so far.

Hehe, I hope that I don't look old... at 23.

IMO, chest is where it should be and waist could probably be reduced slightly, but I like my casual shirts (OCBDs) to not be much tighter, so alterations there would be nitpicking. Why get rid of the center pleat? I will wear it to uni tomorrow and see how it feels, and possibly reduce the sleeve width slightly. Sleeve width/bicep measurement is here at 8", what do you have your bicep measurement set to?
Center pleats are functionally useless

Accurate after a few days. Garsag, I'm on the same shipment you are. It won't arrive tomorrow, I promise.

It'll arrive probably Friday-Monday, pending customs or paperwork. I don't know why it does that, I got some serious false hope the first time around. It takes about a week. It'll tell you the 'real' estimated delivery in like two days. It'll still be in the same country tomorrow.

Ok, thanks for the heads-up! It is definitely worth the wait anyhow.

It's accurate for my first 3 orders. My latest order was a date late. It was estimated to arrive on Thursday but then the website suddenly changed the estimate to "n/a" until it get to my door on Friday. Still not too bad!

Fedex:
We use Fedex 2-day service, time-bound, the fastest any company provides from India.

The shipping label are most often made and tracking numbers are emailed in the evening, India time. Let us suppose Monday evening.

Pickup happens by noon the next day(Tuesday). All documents are included with the packet and also sent electronically in advance to expedite the process.

Once Fedex picks up, they are supposed to customs clear the shipment the same day and connect the same evening.(Tuesday evening)
If that happens, the shipment should be delivered on Thursday in the morning to Europe, Middle East and the Americas and Friday to Australia and parts of Asia.

Xtra, oh f***, I am older than you ;), so bear in mind I am an endurance athlete and thus very slim/skinny.
tobiasj already explained my aversion to center pleats, they are useless, also they look odd imo.
I perfected and prefer my own design, the minimalistic German ÜberOCBD&#153 , unfused collar and cuffs, single button rounded barrel cuffs, 8 button french placket, no pocket, no back pleats, no darts yet a great difference in front and back waist to balance my hollow back, no gauntlet button, no gusset, no monogram, no tags sewn to the shirt, no replacement buttons sewn to the shirt and anti iGent groupthink medium-thinn MOP buttons.

gyasih, I agree with the changes SB recommended.
Imo you should reduce the armholes dramatically, they are huge and you are a slim/skinny guy, an as slim as possible (not tight!) silhouette will flatter your build.
I would also suggest to add another button to the placket, it will reduce the blousyness around the waist once the shirt is tucked in and pulled out again from movement.

Also guys, please don't ask for changes in absolute values, it's not possible to do it.
If a 2m tall 100kg guy posts pictures and asks for changes in his shirts his pics might look the same as those of a 1,8m 80kg guy, yet the amount of fabric needed to cover those two bodies is significantly different.

PS: Gentlemen, please make use of the metric system, I can't believe you still stick to the imperial system even after your president agreed on changing to metric almost 40 years ago.

Center pleats are functionally useless

Hmm, I've read a bit on the subject of pleats vs. no pleats at SF and AAAC, but there doesn't appear to be a consensus on the subject. Box pleats/center pleats are said by some to add mobility , but it appears that the effect is not really noticeable.

And I'm so accustomed to box/center pleats on OCBDs that I just go for it anyhow. All my other BD-shirts (by PRL) have this kind of pleats so I just went with them as I understand it's somewhat of a tradition for american OCBDs to come with box pleats. (PRL & BB)

So, I'm left with two questions; no pleats or shirred back? I was of the impression that a plain back is more formal, but of the two mentioned, is shirring the more formal?

And secondly, what will the effect of removing the box pleats be? Is the whole aspect of increasing mobility overrated? Meaning that removing the center pleats will do "nothing" of substantial effect?

The centerpleat is pretty much a question of tradition as it is seen on nearly all OCBD's; yet for me I don't have them as said before (I believe) they dont provide function and they seem to make the line falling from my back swell and make me look fatter (main reason :p)

The president can agree to whatever he wants to, but he doesn't rule by fiat. ;)
