The linen cottons are, yes. More substantial, more body, despite the fact that the SICTess book is 100s and the LP 140s. The virtue of the SICTess book is that is many more designs, many of which are more interesting than the LP offerings.

Atelier Romentino is TESTA's 170s production.
Loro Piana commissions fabrics to be woven by SIC Tess.
There are quite a few sources for 170s cot-lin shirting, some better than others.

Goes to show that middlemen sometimes add value. The linen-cottons SIC Tess makes for LP are better than what they sell under their own name.

The SIC Tess 100s cot-lin is a voile, which may explain what you perceive as a lack of body compared to the LP 140s cot-lin.

I like the 100s voile. Could use it, and 170s cot-lin, for the spring/summer, and save the 140s for other times.
