i am 5'9.5, weight approx 150ish (probs a bit over due to holidays). The size of the jacket is a 40 and it fit me spot on and for reference the 316xSchott i picked up which fits similar is a small (38). I wear a 50 in most rick owens if that helps as well.

ahahahahah, SE folks didnt even blink at that.

Did they have a size 38 for you to try as well? Did you try it?

This time no but i was there when they first received the FCL and i tried on a 38 and a 40. Definitely 38 did not work for me, too tight in the shoulders. Why do you ask?

Real talk: not always possible, but it's nice when the store has worn samples you can try on, both so you aren't doing jumping jacks in some dude's future leather and also the fit does change a bit as the jacket breaks in.

We're about the same size. And I felt that the 3sixteen x Schott roughtout in size S never quite fit the way I wanted in the shoulders (slightly too wide and thus, pointy-ish). And the measurements on the FCL size 38 sound about right to me for my 17" shoulder width.

i normally take 17 inch shoulders or larger, i cant do any smaller it just isn't comfortable.

IIRC you are slightly slimmer than i am, correct? hence the mild size diff. I often fall between sizes btw.

for reference my IH moto is 18 inches, and the 316 is 17in shoulder so an FCL with 17.5 is fine.

But everything I've read sounds like the FCL size 38 as a 17.4" shoulder width. So I'm surprised you would size up to a 40. I wonder what's the measurement on that.

To add to the confusion, I'm 6'1" and 155 or 160, and I found that an FCL trucker in 42 fit perfectly (vs an M in the UO x Schott rider). I need more like an 18" shoulder, though. Chalk it up to differences in bone scale.

might **** around and go to self edge and put on a pair of jeans like this

Okay, seriously, I'll buy a new pair of jeans for the member who will post a video of them trying them on this way. Do it at Self Edge SF. They have a nice full length mirror will allow for the endeavor to be shown from two different angles simultaneously. @kiya please say yes to this and also to providing the soundtrack.

if i can make a simple request, i would like the video to have kiya slightly on the edge of the screen, apologetically making an X sign with his hands to ask the person to stop
