Sometimes I do. Depends on the shirt + jacket combo.

If I was the OP and wearing that specific jacket and t-shirt, I wouldn't feel the need to tuck it in. It looks a bit long when the jacket is zipped up, but fine when the jacket is open. A bit of overhang doesn't bother me.

I was mostly jesting but that’s an insightful answer.

The Delraiser fits better on you than the FCL, maybe size up on the FCL and see how that goes. If those are the only size options then Delraiser for sure.

I’ll be honest with you, from internet stranger to internet stranger. I think you have an eye for quality and a very high taste level for leather jackets. Though I think your preferred proportion for clothing are not entirely universal.

Yes YMMV, I have that FCL and the length is perfect on me and the Delraiser would be too short.

I have an FCL and although I really like the feel and fit, with what I wear, I often feel like it’s too long especially when I have tucked in shirt on a 12+ in rise. I think the delraiser looks better, and even in those pictures makes the FCL look kinda cheap for some reason

I prefer the look and length (on me) of the FCL although both are great jackets, YMMV

I think the whole jacket length discussion is just another version of something like how you like your pants to rise. Not necessarily a "right" answer, just depends on the style and clothes you will wear it with. A shorter jacket is much harder to wear with low rise jeans, for example, and I find the converse to be true as well with the flipped proportions of a longer jacket and higher rise. If you like to wear your tee shirt untucked, it can commonly throw off the balance of a shorter jacket as well. In modern times, a jacket on the modern/longer side is harder to get wrong in my experience.

to me *waist* is the essential decision of fashion one way or the other

but can also be a bit nebulous and if you look at womenswear they will almost split the waist with a tiny jacket and low slung pant, with a shirt under or whatever so you get the layers but also the body. on a guy that is a serious dirtbag fit these days (like, why do the jacket have to overlap to the pants from the back? i don't mind the gap) and i happen to also really like it but it's not so cut n dry as 'what rise do you like and let's start there'. but that is a good good place to start.
