No wonder the seam tore apart. You're wearing two sizes too small. I'm about 18lbs lighter than you and that size is slim even on me. It is impressive that you managed to even zip it up, but I would strongly advise you not to as I fear you're going to end up busting the zippers as well.
Is that with or without Busted Seams?

I don’t know… to be really sure I would have to see you fit two tennis balls in there.
Please let tennis balls become the next metric in fit pics.

Mine for comparison, same size, 145 lbs 5'10" 37" chest. Probably 2-3 tennis ball allowance.

@Understatesman, the above fit by @d4nimal is what you want out of that kind ofjacket, if you want the slim fit like you are wearing rick owens intarsia is for that.

horse doesn’t stretch you want lamb/ram/calf if you want a jacket that will be super snug and then stretch out.

for reference I am 5”10, 145, I tried that jacket on in a 38 and the armholes were super tight, body was cool.

my IH wears better so I passed cuz that jacket (Robert’s) was uncomfortable

I want to point out that Understatesman was simply sharing his collection and didn’t ask for the feedback.

Now, why are there tennis balls in the leather jacket thread?

you missed the whole 2019 slew of pages of him trying on double riders and comparing, I think he went through 7.

I disagree on how this one should fit. Any looser and it turns boxy. Literally turns torsos into rectangles. I present the evidence: None of these guys look good.

And how it should fit, imho:

I agree with your view, but your jacket just looks too tight.

This last photo you posted is of @d4nimal. He has a size 37 chest and is wearing a size small. You have a size 39 chest and I believe you're wearing the same size. To get that same fit, you would have to size up to a medium.

I agree that jacket is very tube like in the body which is why I didn’t like it.

look at the IH, it’s more like a V and would sit on you like you want without having to struggle.

this, I fall in between 37/38 in most things and that jacket was tight in shoulder and arms but loose in body.

If I recall correctly that shoulder width is like 18" though. That would look like shoulder pads on me. I mean, my Polo has an 18" width and that's really my only problem with it. It looks wide on me and hangs limply off my puny shoulders.

Anyway, I might just say ******* and order a size 40 FCL. Though I'm not digging the 27" body length they're claiming.... That would be ridiculous, imho.

Ok, I've got some questions:

Looking at your old Iron Heart pics, you said you ordered a size 38, right? But the shoulders seem too wide, the upper arms look like they have tons of extra leather floating around and the sleeves are slightly too long. I tried to draw lines where I think your natural shoulder ends and there's about an inch overhang. Body length is great though.

Or am I seeing it wrong?
