Just to mix things up from the traditional jackets here. Not for everyone's taste -

Leon Emanuel Blanck fencing jacket

I was on the fence (pun intended) on getting it and now, on keeping it. I can't really return it though.

Looks very 80's New Wave rock band, which might be what you're going for?

Otherwise might make sense on a bike, but apart from that, not so much, at least for me.

I think it looks really good, and about as good as any LEB I've seen. I'm curious how it fits/feels around the elbows, where lots of his jackets seem to have weird articulations.

No, not at all but yeah it may come out like that for some whom are not familiar with this side of fashion or streetwear. It is a different and unusual style compared to the traditional looking jackets that has dominated this thread as of recent. This thread has shifted back and forth between the classic look and to what people may refer at times as avant garde, goth ninja, artisinal, or whatever/etc., which where my preference leans to mostly. This jacket would never make sense on a bike much like some of the double riders seen here.

The elbows fit well and doesn't have that weird unilateral bulge that his other jackets may have. It also helps that this is lined and not as uncomfortable when worn.

Thanks. I can't return it so I'm definitely keeping it. :p But if I had the chance to try it on in-store, I wouldn't have made the purchase even knowing that I like it.

well that's one of the issues with buying online, it becomes almost impossible to experience the clothes in person before the purchase

You still could as long as the store accepts returns. I'm fine with paying shipping to receive and return a product.

I'm looking for something for fall and winter. Was thinking of a Valstarino padded w down. I know it's normally a light jacket, but I have a lot of light jackets. Want something in leather or suede and though a Valstarino would fit a nice gap style wise and could also fill a functional gap as well if it's a warmer variety.

Not available this time of year, but I figure they should be restocked in a couple months.

The Rake Chocolate Suede Padded Valstarino

Would this make sense or would I be killing a classic by changing the way it drapes?

I'm looking at this in the fall suede jacket category (but not for at least another year...):

I kinda dig it. It has a sci-fi'y feel to it, like something the clerics would wear in Equilibrium.
