Yeah, mine is already stained, though not externally visibly yet. But I have at least 5 non-suede leather jackets already, I figured it was time to change it up.
I think if I were to go suede, I'd probably go with either Todd Snyder's suede Dylan jacket, maybe in a MtM, or another Blake Hedley. I wouldn't care as much once those get neck stains since those are much cheaper compared to Savas.

Have you tried this? I have it and it's legit...

Remember that Evolving dude from 10+ years ago that recommended the use of CVS cloth tape lined shirt collars to avoid stains?
As in he took a took off a collar from an old dress shirt and taped it to the inside of the jacket collar?

Nevermind. I understand now.

I guess I should finally post a pic of my Savas MTM. It's their Icon jacket in a Rose lamb suede. As a shorter guy, I finally have a leather jacket where the sleeves don't get wet when washing my hands.

It's like one of those period piece moves, where the men only have one shirt and one suit, so they wear it everyday in every scene.

Neck stains would be a real issue with me. Had an old, cheap distressed brown leather jacket where the neck got unattractively darkly stained with neck oil before I finally pitched it. Won't even consider suede or a brown leather jacket due to this-just black or very dark brown leather for me.

A lot of vintage jackets used to have this corduroy section at the back of the inner corner to help minimize this problem. It would be nice to see it back.
