Copped it, been looking for one. Since one of the stars is missing ill probably remove the other one.

Oh I didn't notice that. It's super unfortunate I adore that detail. Were in your position I'd probably replace the missing start, but that jacket is now yours to do what you want with.

He let the jacket go for 250 and honestly felt it was reasonable given the rest of the jacket seems in great shape. Could just wear it as is and not worry about having only one star. Where would I go about getting a replacement if i choose to, ebay?

I think Standard Rivet could be a good place to look.

Speaking of Schott, snapped this one yesterday. This is one I had Schott replace the quilted lining with cotton flannel instead

After the disappointment with their "bronze bomber" shearling I decided to give Blake Hedley a second chance and I got their B-15, which seemed like a safer choice.

I got it earlier this week and I think it looks great, fits good and it's nice for the price. Bear in mind that my only other shearlings are one from Zara (they released some real shearling jackets in the past few years, not this year it seems though, see a pic here https://www.styleforum.net/threads/...-the-best-youve-seen-owned.71625/post-9555269) and a Margiela 5zip that I sold (that jacket doesn't look good in shearling IMO, and colour wasn't the best, I sold it).

My only complaint is that the smell isn't great. Also the coating looks like might not age well, but I've no idea.

These are not my pics but they are a faithful representation of what the jacket looks like (unlike the bronze bomber pics in the site and insta which IMO don't really show what the jacket looks like, too much editing I guess).

I love the natural brown shearling color. I find the light beige color too light against a dark leather, but this color is just perfect.

^ Hey that looks alright. Didn't know it was teacore. Or am I just seeing something off down by your hand? Why haven't the arm creases lightened as well?

Hello everyone, I've just gotten this Indigofera Copeland jacket in suede roughout from Rivet and Hide; I know next to nothing about leather jackets, is the suede supposed to look like this or did they sell me a faulty garment? It was going to be a gift, so I'm not really sure what to do with it. (I was wrong, the jacket is fine).

More pics:

This was a 50% off discount with a no-return policy attached to it but still, they did ensure via mail that the jacket was thoroughly checked by the staff at Rivet and Hide before shipping out. I'd have preferred for them to be straight forward and upfront about it for a 600 Euros piece, when I asked for pics and detailed measurements (which they provided, too bad the pics didn't really show the areas affected). (Again wrong, the roughout is expected to look like that, occasionally)

Assuming the leather is indeed defective, is there a way to mitigate the "shaggy dog" effect? Any suggestion? Creams? Lint rollers? Suede brush with brass bristles? Shaving it off?
The leather underneath appears unscathed, it's just a little softer than the rest.

Thanks in advance for your kind help.

Edited for clarity.

I’d say that’s normal IMO

Oh, cool. I was under the impression that the texture being wildly different from the rest of the jacket (which is quite smooth everywhere else) wasn't right for some reason. As mentioned elsewhere though, my knowledge about leather and suede jackets is basically non existant. Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.

I'd say normal for roughout on the fuzzy side. Contrast panels are pretty common for example a grainy and smoother arm panels.

Keep in mind roughout isn't suede so it's naturally gonna have more variation and fuzz. I have some roughout elk boots and you can see the nap waving in the wind.

Thank you guys, I'm glad I was mistaken and the Rivet and Hide guys did do their due diligence, I will edit the original post accordingly.
