All you need to do it look at division roads fit pics to realize they don’t know what they are talking about and you should never listen to their suggestions on sizing or styling.
In all seriousness it might be the worst styled shop in North America

They even make grandad coats look bad

Anyone know if the painter jacket in linen will shrink with the wash? I bought 2 sizes, size 48 fits good in chest, but a hair tight around the shoulders. Size 50 fits good in shoulders, but is pretty big in chest and body. Size 48 would be perfect if it doesn’t shrink.
Hello!
I would advise to size up, because I believe in comfort on the shoulders, especially since then can't be tailored like the chest/body.

Sorry, I don’t. It just faded very heavily and the collar changed its form over time. My general experience with DBF linens and linen blends has been that they’re beautiful but fickle.

We thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear about that! Was ironing helpful with the collar? Maybe it would be possible to use a more moderate washing technique?

Same question but for the cool wool version!

We also asked our production team for more info on that!
From what I've heard, it'd difficult on the wool version, and maybe feasible on the linen version, but it has to be investigated further by our team.

RE: sizing...division road told me to go with sz 46 on the shirting/jackets (i'm 5'8, 145lbs) but....my gut and the above say i should roll with a 48. anyone have thoughts?
Do you have specific pieces in mind? What's your fitting preference? (slim/regular/loose)
But to give a general answer, 46 makes sense for me, for 5'8 and 145lbs.

@DeBonneFacture_Team I wear size 52 in the painter's jacket. What size would you recommend I get in the two pocket overshirt given that it fits much more oversized?

Hello, I think one size down so 50 would be reasonable, on the two pocket overshirt!

@DeBonneFacture_Team Hey there! Was wondering if any plans for a release of the belt from this season's lookbook? Thanks!

Hello, it's our essential belt that is available here: https://debonnefacture.fr/collectio...leather-dark-chocolate?variant=39598322286655

There is no restock planned on this item for now!

Should I get size 46 or 48 in the upcoming plum linen two pocket overshirt? Height 6'1" (~184cm), weight 145lb (~65kg), shoulders ~18in across, around chest ~36in. Thanks!

Still looking to move this size 46 cardigan jacket in the undyed yak wool. Would $425 shipped entice anyone?

@DeBonneFacture_Team, are you confirming size guides before going live with new pieces?

For example, size guide for this jacket only shows cm. Also, seems rather large unless it is US sizing. Size 54 shows 70.5 cm for the half chest = 27.76 inches.

Hello, we thank you for your message.

We added the measurements in inches in the size guide for the traveler jacket. The measurements are correct: I measured and half chest is indeed 70cm on size 54. This jacket has a comfortable fit.

We will also double check the size guides of other recent releases and looking to improve our internal process on that matter!

I purchased the plum overshirt and it’s absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately, there’s a small hole/threadbare area near the bottom front hem. Is it worth getting it repaired to protect against snags and rips?

Hello, we're sorry about this little problem!

Yes, I would say it's worth repairing this to prevent further ripping. If done correctly, it can be rather invisible.

Also, I'm taking this opportunity to talk about one of our fabric of this season, the super soft cold wool!

CARROUSEL_1.png

We release an article a few days ago on this fabric that you can see here: https://debonnefacture.fr/blogs/textures/super-soft-cold-wool

Most people may know cold wool as "fresco", but actually, Fresco is a trademark name for a specific fabric by Hardy Minnis (now owned by Huddersfield).

The generic term is "cold wool" or sometimes "tropical woool". Our cold wool comes from an italian mill and is surprisingly soft, more than most of similar fabric that have a "dryer" touch.

It's a very nice fabric for Spring Summer because it is elegant (because it's wool), breathable (because it's wool) and doesn't wrinkle much (because... it's wool!). It's also a fresh fabric thanks to the way it's weaved :)

I personally own a cold wool suit from De Bonne Facture from a few seasons ago and it's really great, I enjoy wearing it each season. It's also very convenient for events such as marriages.

We have four super cold wool pieces this season, that you can mix and match as you wish : a traveler jacket, two pleated pants, two pocket overshirt and drawstring trousers.
You can find the pieces here: https://debonnefacture.fr/collections/super-soft-cold-wool

Have a great day everyone!
