Has anybody worn or handled the Shetland sweaters or lambswool sweaters that L.L. Bean is selling this year? I have three old, made-in-Ireland L.L. Bean lambswool sweaters, which are still some of my favorite sweaters that I own, but I've read that L.L. Bean's quality has declined from ten or twenty years ago, so I don't know if the new ones are still as well-made as my older, made-in-Ireland ones are. The new sweaters are "imported," but, considering they mention the country from which goods are imported if they are European countries, I have to assume that the current models are made in sweatshops in the developing world, which makes me question whether they're of particularly good quality.

Their Shetland sweaters are available in some nice colors, but is $50 Shetland worth buying? If not, I'd rather put those $50 towards an O'Connells or J. Press Shetland sweater.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!
