I'm a little disappointed with the shrinkage of the fabric on my Tokyo Slim shirts - the assistant in the store assured me that the try-on shirts are washed and indicative of the fit after shrinking has occurred. My 16/35 is about .5-.75" too short in the arms after 3 washes.
What's the typical stance on returning items after use? I'm not after a refund, I'd much rather swap them for 3 New York slim fits in 16/36.5 - I'm a little peeved that I've $240 on three shirts that are now all too short.
I was going to, but then decided not to, because they can't adjust the waist.Has anyone gone MTM with them yet? I want to get some of the linen/cotton blend shirts made up. Their price is $180 per shirt. Not sure how that compares (Thomas Mason fabric) elsewhere.
What do you mean? Are the shirts just made up in one of their four cuts with the fabric the only way that they are custom?I was going to, but then decided not to, because they can't adjust the waist.

Yes I wish my non oxfords were a touch longer and my oxfords a touch shorter - maybe in the long run the oxfords will continue to shrink (I use a dry cleaning place)I'm in the opposite boat. Wish my sleeves would shrink more on my OCBD.
For those in the neighborhood, happened to pass by the store while "walking it off" and they are offering "fukubukuro" or lucky bags. Basically they have a bunch of sealed bags on a table (a nice little cloth bag) each containing 3 shirts. They are $100 but the catch is you get what you get (it's a surprise) and they are not returnable. I ended up with a solid blue spread collar and a narrow blue & white bengal stripe as well as a blue check button down. I would have easily selected any of the 3 to purchase so it was an outright steal. I also picked up a tie while I was there. Don't know when they close and how many are now left (apparently there was a line outside when they first opened) but it's worth a shot. They come in different sizes and styles. After my purchase there was 1 bag left of the Tokyo Slim cut in 16/35.
I passed by today and got the same bag. Incredible deal. For those in the neighborhood, happened to pass by the store while "walking it off" and they are offering "fukubukuro" or lucky bags. Have to agree with passing. Too risky. That's an interesting idea, though I would probably pass
