I know both are great but which do you personally prefer and why? John Lobb or Edward Green? Also how do you feel Ferragamo Tramezza compares to either of these brands?

Thank you.

Edward Green, but both are marvelous. John Lobb's styles are a bit more modern, unusual, interesting finishes on the leather; but Green seems more precise, better shaped lasts, classic British styles but with some character.

I am leaning more toward Lobb......basically for fit issues. I have come to the realization that if the shoe fits.....only then should it be worn!

Regards.

How does the Ferragamo Tramezza line compare to these two fine shoe makers?

I like them both for different reasons:

I love the 888 EG last, and overall EG produces a very professional looking high-end shoe.

I love JLP shoes in general because of the their ability to try different design styles and make them look amazing.

If I had to choose between the two I would have to give a slight preference to JLP.

Ferragamo Tramezza's would be a distant 15th or so in my opinion.

I personally would rank Berluti 3rd for style and quality reasons. Other than Berluti, I would say the other 5 or 6 top quality brands are UK based, then other areas of Europe. A short stop in the US for Alden and AE, then back to Europe as a whole.

I personally would put Alden and AE above Ferragamo Tramezza's for quality of construction and materials.

For me, the museum calf (brown, chestnut, Parisian).

Every well dressed man should have several pairs of each!

EG = Dark Oak - 888 Last (sex on the feet).
I don't own any Lobb's, though contemplating the 'Vale'.
Tramezza's - I own one pair and they are nothing special.
