Has anyone caught the episode where a suspect is wearing a pair of double monk JL? (Product placement).

There is a visit of the store...

Anyways, are those a pair of Williams? The leather looks different than the normal options available with the shoes... Anyone have any info on this?

I've seen it, but have no idea to the shoes. There was also on the original some Gucci and Belgian loafers and Luciano Barbera overcoats aswell as "Custom silk shirts" a guy that had tuxes "Zegna, Gucci, and a custom made one by Piana". A lot of clothing references.

EDIT: IIRC it looked like this

Can anyone here explain to me the difference between the William and the Wallace?

It was Fontana who made most of the references to clothes. He did mention Luciana Barbara, Gucci, and John Varvatos. I thought that, of the various detectives over the years on L&O, Fontana (played by Dennis Farina, I think it was) was about the best. Too bad he was only on for about one season.

I have both and can confirm that:
William = double leather sole
Wallace = single leather sole
Same last.

Ah./.. Nicole Wallace.... So gorgeous.. So evil...

Yes, Fontana was played by Dennis Farina. Elegant. As well as the DA. Can't remember who played him (Courtney something).

One of my great fantasies is a walk-on in a L&O where I get to wear a great suit. But with my acting skills, I couldn't get a role as a corpse. Some of us just belong on the other side of the camera, alas.

Courtney B. Vance was on Criminal Intent. His character always seemed a little over-dressed for a public prosecutor. Johnny Cochrane came to mind.

And Fontana was a clotheshorse. Always with the camel coat and baby blue scarf - a reminder that the cops and mob are two sides of the same coin.
