Yes, country calf and museum calf are vastly different. Museum is smooth with a mottled look and country calf is textured and very hardyThanks
So I should actually see the difference. (which is not the case so I believe there was a mistake in the shipping process…).
Not misty lamb.I’ve always been wondering; what exactly is misty calf?
Basically their standard calf vs museum which has a mottled look to it.I’ve always been wondering; what exactly is misty calf?
Mate, those are beauties!I haven’t bought a pair of shoes in a while. So, I decided to splurge on a few loafers. Very, very pleased, but special kudos to how soft, flexible, and comfortable the tensile construction Lopez is. Dear god. Here are randomly assorted pics. I’ll take better pics over the weekend.

Thank you, sir! They’re quite nice, I must say. Tensile construction loafers feel like slippers.Mate, those are beauties!
can you elaborate on how Tensile construction varies from traditional GYW?… Tensile construction loafers feel like slippers.
Congrats on your shoes! I think you may have a problem with the fit, though. There appears to be too much room in the heel area. Those are bound to stretch out everywhere else (especially given the upper material and tensile construction), and when that happens you’ll have significant heel slip. Just my observation.received my John Lobb Lopez white deer skin loafer unlined… absolutely lovely pair… the deer skin is so soft and this require no break in at all.. I also did not experience any heel slip but I have a concern on the heel.. there is abit of gap at my right foot being a shorter length.. I am worry over time as it expand the loafer may become not wearable.. I can barely insert my index finger to the heel and the pair feel snug on my foot without any pain.. this is my 3rd time getting the correct loafer fit.. from EG uk9 to 8.5 to jlp uk 7.5
