@marcus-chi The
Got anti-expos in today (white and mustard). First thing's first, people weren't lying. I thought the hate was overblown before getting mines in, but I totally see where people are coming from now. JE completely took a step back here. There's nothing I can say in regards to material and fit that hasn't been said already. The most annoying part for me though is that JE's product shots are completely different than what they're selling and I think that's a **** move. The fit, material, neck line, etc are definitely like the old anti-expos used to be in the current product shots, and not like what were actually getting right now. I'm assuming product shots happened with samples, then they changed stuff before production of the actual product and never took updated pics to reflect that.

The neckline on the white definitely makes it look much more like a regular tee. I'm still keeping mines for two reasons, one, I like the mustard color for summer. Two, the white still makes a good layering piece once it starts to get cool again. They ruined the perfect summer tee though.

The product shots definitely misrepresent the actual item. Even the texture of the Forest in the product shots looks similar to the jersey texture of the Natural colorway, but when the shirt arrived to me, it was just a solid rough material. I can live with the tee not being what it was, but the way they misrepresented the product in the images has me contemplating falling back off the brand a little bit.

If you guys don't like the neck on the new anti expo you can always cut it out. I did on some tees and love it. I can post a pic if anyone is interested.

the idea of cutting a $90 t-shirt seems really odd to me.
It's no different than getting jeans/pants hemmed (or altered) to fit you well. Clothing looks better when it's specific for your body. If you don't feel comfortable making alterations to your clothing (or don't have tailor), things will never quite look right. I know this sounds strange to some on the thread, but clothing is not one size fits all.

Edit: I know we are talking about a tshirt.

if it's really that bad and you don't want to wait until it gives, why not just size up in a mercer and cut it to fit? You'll also save $6 in the process (or $5 if local dry cleaner cuts it lol).

Makes sense why they wouldn't release the ebisu sweats in purple or mustard. Who would rock those anyway?
